sea level clock #1

2017 fabric, steel

Temporary installation at the Robert Rauschenberg Residency in Pine Island Sound, Captiva, FL. The circular form emerges and submerges as it responds to daily tidal fluctuations. Installation is a prototype for a permanent sculpture that if made of long-lasting material such as concrete, would also record sea level rise due to climate change.

Created with support from the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation.
