Eventually - Citywide: An Artwork that exists throughout an entire city
Eventually, 1997. Ink on paper. 22" x 85". Proposal for an artwork that exists in ten different locations within one city. The letters would be made of different materials, each resonating with its immediate surroundings and attuned to its own environment. Separated by blocks or miles, each letter exists both alone and as parts of the whole.
Inside a zoo
exhibit....
hidden in a forest....
embedded in a public plaza...
chiseled into a cliff face.....
doubling as a bus shelter......
underground in a subway
station....
perched atop a skyscraper....
camouflaged
at a courthouse....
partially submerged in the harbor.....
holding up a highway.
