Running Fence/Turtle Blind: A Christo remake with an ecological purpose
1994. Silk-screen collage on paper. 22" x 30". Proposal resurrects Christo's original Running Fence, while giving it an ecological purpose. The fence is erected on a beach where sea turtles nest to shield pregnant females and hatchlings from the disorienting effects of artificial lights. The fence is lowered during the day to allow residents a view of the ocean and then raised up at night when it is needed.
